COFFEE AND LUNCH BREAKS

Coffee and lunch breaks will be served at the Maison de la Recherche.

MEETING DINNER

The meeting dinner will take place on Friday, October 26 at 20:00 at Café Maritime, conveniently located in front of the River Garonne and within walking distance from the "Cité du Vin" stop of tram line B. Here you can find the tram itinerary from the Maison de la Recherche (UNITEC or Montaigne tram stop) to Café Maritime. The tram runs every 5 to 10 minutes. Accompanying persons may attend the dinner at the additional cost of 40 EUR per person.

EXCURSION

On Saturday morning (October 27), there will be an excursion to the crypt of the Saint-Seurin basilica in Bordeaux. Lunch will take place at Saint-Emilion (located ca. 45 km east of Bordeaux), where there will be the opportunity to visit the medieval city declared UNESCO World Heritage Site, including the largest monolithic church in Europe. Please bring an umbrella, and heavy clothing for the visit to the crypt (ca. 15°C/59°F). The excursion fee is 50 EUR.

Tentative program:

  • 09:00: meeting in front of Saint-Seurin and visit to the crypt
  • 10:30: break
  • 11:00: bus to Saint-Emilion
  • 12:30: lunch in Saint-Emilion
  • 14:00: visit to the town
  • 17:00: return to Bordeaux
  • 18:00 expected arrival to Bordeaux

We advise participants who will attend the excursion to plan a return flight on Sunday 28 October.
