Organization

MoDIM 2018 is organized by the Institut de Recherche sur les Archéomatériaux-Centre de Recherche en Physique Appliquée à l'Archéologie (IRAMAT-CRP2A) and the Institut de Recherche Antiquité et Moyen Âge (AUSONIUS), which are joint laboratories of the French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and Université Bordeaux Montaigne (UBM).

IRAMAT-CRP2A and AUSONIUS are part of the Bordeaux Archaeological Science Cluster of Excellence (LaScArBx). This 12 M€ project brings together three research units from the universities of Bordeaux that are specialized in the field of archaeology. Different disciplines (archaeology, history, classics, materials science, biology, geology, anthropology, digital humanities) have been brought together in a common federative and innovative project, with no equivalent in France.
